The Pulse Hospital Radio has been providing radio, music and entertainment to patients and staff since 1955. Unfortunately, this could no longer be the case.
Since the very beginning when they were providing Watford FC football commentary from a broom cupboard they have strived year by year to improve their service and are now broadcasting 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to patients, staff and visitors in Watford General, St Albans and Hemel Hempstead hospitals. In order to continue, the radio volunteers have vowed to raise £10,000.
The money will go straight into the radio service, allowing more time for patient interactions, entertaining visitors and keeping our NHS boosted with great morale.
The Pulse Hospital Radio is completely run by volunteers who provide different programs and opportunities to the hospitals. Ranging from classical to the latest pop hits, the station has it all and the volunteers are determined that it should continue!
We are on our way to be getting better all the time.

If you are interested in presenting, producing, collecting requests on the wards, raising funds, or just looking to give something back to the community, then we would love to hear from you.
